DESCRIPTION:Tropismes and the Gender and Sexuality Workshop of the ULB Institute of Sociology invite you to meet Sara Garbagnoli on the occasion of the publication of Monique Wittig ‘s Dans l’arène ennemie (texts and interviews 1966-1999), published by Editions de Minuit.\nIn 1979, Monique Wittig used a guerrilla-style image to illustrate the scope of her project: to break into the “enemy arena” in order to explode the forms, concepts and categories that make heterosexuality the only possible social contract.\nThis previously unpublished volume brings together the rich output of texts, articles and interviews she wrote between 1966 and 1999 – which over time have become impossible to find. Written or published in French, English, Dutch, Portuguese or German, they are all entrances into the enemy arena, always shattering in their immediate power to challenge our modern mythologies.\n
